Carl holds his FA Level 3 Coaching Award and Youth Module 1 and as a coach with Liverpool Football Club’s Under 16s has spent time coaching and helping to develop promising young players including Jordon Ibe and Lloyd Jones.

He has worked as a coach for Liverpool Football Club, both in the community department and at the club’s academy, for a period totalling 12 years. This work saw him travel abroad to deliver international soccer camps and also to accompany the first team on their pre-season tours.

As manager of Vauxhall Motors FC, Carl gained national recognition after delivering good FA Cup runs and for playing excellent attractive football.

He spent 16 years as a semi-professional footballer, captaining Burscough FC to win the FA Trophy at Villa Park and also winning the league whilst playing for Barrow AFC.

His playing days were followed by a move into football management where he took charge of first team affairs at Vauxhall Motors, Chester FC, Marine and his current position as first team manager at Witton Albion in Cheshire.
